10,000 years ago Earth’s climate stabilised and civilisations grew. At first slowly, and then all at once those civilisations destroyed the natural world and released carbon into the atmosphere. Now our climate and weather systems are destabilised once more, putting the remaining natural ecosystems at risk and society as we know it. It’s becoming increasingly clear that governments, philanthropic willingness or viability, institutional investors and existing businesses are not close to a solution. 

The opportunity is to be the generation that prevents this existing catastrophe from becoming apocalyptic. And there is no doubt that we need new systems to succeed in this challenge.
